Role Overview

Area Sales

This is a field-intensive role requiring high ownership, scientific curiosity, and the ability to position MTOR’s multi-vertical portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across assigned territories.
  • Promote MTOR’s portfolio: 

    CGT solutions, Bioprocess equipment, R&D Instruments, Kits & Reagents, Diagnostics, and 3D Printing Solutions

    .
  • Ensure lead-to-order conversion through structured funnel management.

2. Territory & Account Management

  • Develop territory penetration plans for J&K, Punjab, Haryana (selected), and Himachal Pradesh.
  • Build strong relationships with PIs, Lab Heads, Purchase Teams, HODs, Clinicians, and Industry Stakeholders.
  • Regular institute visits, product demos, technical discussions, and solution positioning.

3. Customer Engagement & Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries and escalations.
  • Work closely with MTOR Customer Support & Commercial Teams for seamless supply, installation, and service coordination.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and post-sales follow-ups.

4. Tender, Project & Key Account Handling

  • Track and participate in institutional tenders (GeM, e-procurement portals).
  • Support turnkey project discussions, especially around 

    CGT, Bioprocess, and Lab Infrastructure

    .

5. Marketing & Brand Visibility

  • Represent MTOR at conferences, exhibitions, seminars, and customer events.
  • Execute territory-level marketing activities in alignment with MTOR’s strategic campaigns.
  • Coordinate product seminars, workshops, and technical talks.

6. Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain updated reports on sales funnel, competitor activities, pipeline status, weekly visits, and forecasts.
  • Contribute insights for new product introductions and strategic market development.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in 

    Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry

     or equivalent.
  • 2–7 years

     of experience in Life Science/Diagnostics/Pharma/Bioprocess sales.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, research environments, or CGT technologies (preferred).
  • Experience in institutional and academic sales will be a strong advantage.
