As an Area Sales Officer at our company, your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and achieving sales targets to drive company growth. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and target new business opportunities within the agricultural sector, including farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses. - Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets. - Conduct market research to understand customer needs and market trends. - Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients. - Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. - Provide after-sales support, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. - Gather customer feedback to improve products and services. - Stay updated on the latest agricultural products, technologies, and industry trends. - Educate customers on the benefits and proper usage of products. - Organize and conduct product demonstrations and training sessions. - Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions. - Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management. - Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly. - Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns. - Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products. - Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote products. Qualifications & Experience: - Educational Background: Any Degree - Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in sales - Skills: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to understand and address customer needs effectively. - Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Preferred Attributes: - Experience in selling agri-inputs like fertilizers, pesticides, or cattle feed. - Familiarity with local agricultural practices and market dynamics. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Fluency in the local language(s) to effectively communicate with farmers and stakeholders.
