Function Description

Enterprise Data Strategy Team within, Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) organization is responsible for defining external data strategies across credit and fraud use cases. The team also owns foundational capabilities like Global Account Monitoring (GAM) and Global Outbound Bureau Reporting (OBR) that exchange customer data with bureaus and other data companies. These processes bolster risk decision-making and enhance customer experiences across lifecycles. EDS supports innovative use of traditional, alternative, and fraud data assets which optimize CFR’s data investments. The team oversees outbound and inbound data policies, processes and controls that govern GAM and OBR. 

The incumbent will be part of the Global Outbound Bureau Product Governance team based out of 
Gurgaon, India and will assume the role of an Analyst for driving Governance framework for Outbound Bureau Reporting within the Enterprise Data Strategy team

Purpose of the Role:

The incumbent will be responsible for executing the governance framework for Outbound Bureau Reporting (OBR). This will include creation and enhancement of control environment by implementing preventive and detective controls., drive AEMP79/70/47/08 & Project Guardian Compliance within Enterprise Data Strategy team, partner closely with CCOs, Product, Capabilities, Control Management Team and 2nd/3rd line to strengthen data governance for Outbound Bureau reporting process.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of Outbound Bureau Reporting, applicable AEMPs, Project Guardian and Control Management
  • Develop requirements to support the generation of risk capabilities & controls (e.g. Smart Monitoring, Qalibrate & CDIT/SPIKE)
  • Ensure Global Process Risk Self-Assessment (PRSA) for outbound bureau reporting is updated, asserted and certified timely, understands upcoming Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) mandates and impact
  • Leads engagement for global regulatory exams, audits, reviews, loss events and compliance issues which impact Outbound Bureau processes
  • Work closely with Stakeholders (CCOs, Compliance, Legal, Capabilities etc.) to implement controls action/ownership, operating manual ratification framework and drive clarity with RACI
  • Spearhead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, and on time.
  • Find gaps/risk in process and prioritize preventive/detective controls implementation for risk mitigation.
  •  Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Past Experience:

    1. 0-3 years of experience in product management, strategy, control management, analytics/credit risk or related work experience
    2. Strong data handling and ability to apply quantitative techniques and methods to drive business results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Academic Background:

    Bachelor’s / master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics Computer Science or Economics) from a top tier institute

    Functional Skills/Capabilities:

    1. Strong quantitative, analytical, project management and structured problem-solving skills with proficiency in Python, SQL, HIVE & EXCEL.
    2. Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and on aggressive timelines.
    3. Effective team player and be able to manage multiple projects.
    4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
    5. Experience in analyzing data, drawing inferences, and making recommendations.
    6. Regulatory/Compliance/control management knowledge would be plus 
    7. Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
    8. Understanding of credit card business economics

    Technical Skills/Capabilities

    SQL, HIVE, Excel, and Python. Lumi knowledge would be a plus.

    Behavioral Skills/Capabilities:

    1. Demonstrated ability to succeed in high performing teams
    2. Strong relationship management
    3. Ability to grasp business problems/identify business opportunities and provide solutions to solve them.
    4. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation
    5. Experience in handling/influencing senior leaders/partners across geographies is preferred
