The Team:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst to join our Asia Tax team. This role supports tax compliance and advisory within the APAC region by assisting with data gathering and analysis, managing tax filings and incentive applications, and preparing materials for client interactions. It is ideal for someone who can contribute to the team by staying updated on regional tax developments. The position requires strong organizational skills and effective communication to support both client needs and internal operational tasks. Relevant background would be preferred.
How you will Contribute:
Tax Advisory and Compliance
- Assist in researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations across APAC jurisdictions to provide accurate tax advisory support.
- Support senior team members in drafting tax opinions, memos and advisory reports tailored to client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Assist clients with APAC corporate tax compliance, including preparation of tax computations, tax return filings, withholding tax filings, and Certificate of Residence applications across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support clients in applications for tax incentive schemes, handling related tax reporting obligations, and preparing tax reclaim filings where applicable.
- Support tax engagement workflows by preparing data summary and documentation to facilitate project progress.
- Research, participate and assist in preparation for client meetings, internal and external business development initiatives such as proposals, pitches, and trainings.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing by staying abreast of APAC tax technical developments, evolving tax authority practices, and market trends affecting the region.
Data Management & Analysis
- Utilize Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems to track client interactions, manage project workflows, and support internal reporting.
- Extract and analyze data from M&A and financial databases to generate actionable insights for tax planning and advisory assignments.
- Prepare concise summaries and reports based on client and tax data, supporting senior team members in decision-making and client communication.
Client and Operational Support
- Assist in client engagements by organizing financial and tax data, addressing routine queries, and maintaining well-structured and compliant client documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support timely delivery of client-related tasks and contribute to process improvements and workflow optimizations.
- Prepare clear and accurate materials for meetings and presentations, ensuring data integrity and effective communication within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Candidates who have completed CA Intermediate/semi-qualified are also eligible.
- 0-1 years of relevant work experience/internship in tax/finance function will be preferred along with strong accounting knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
