Job Description

The Accounts Manager is responsible for managing the hotel/resort’s financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, controlling operational costs, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and safeguarding company assets. The role oversees daily accounting functions, manages financial analysis, supports budgeting and forecasting, and works closely with department heads to ensure optimum financial performance of the property.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, payroll, cash management, and revenue accounting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with industry and statutory standards.
  • Ensure timely preparation of MIS reports, P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.

Revenue & Expense Management

  • Monitor daily revenue reports and ensure proper reconciliation between PMS, POS, and accounting systems.
  • Review and verify night audit reports, rebates, discounts, and complimentary stays.
  • Control and analyze costs related to F&B, Rooms, Spa, and other operational departments.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in annual budget preparation, business plan forecasting, and CAPEX planning.
  • Support cost-optimization initiatives while maintaining guest service standards.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise accounting team members and ensure their productivity and compliance with company policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to strengthen the financial capability of the department.
  • Collaborate closely with operational departments to align financial goals with business performance.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional certifications (CA/CPA/CMA/MBA-Finance) preferred.
  • 5–8 years of accounting experience, with minimum 3 years in hotel or resort finance.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality finance, Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI), and statutory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with hotel PMS/ERP systems (e.g., Opera, IDS, Prolific, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
