Job Description

Job Title: Account Executive

Relevant Experince : 6-8yrs

Location: Navi Mumbai, ONSITE

Key Responsibilities


Accounting & Financial Reporting:

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledger, and financial transactions in accordance with Indian accounting standards.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Oversee reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor payments, and expense tracking.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to provide insights for decision-making.


• Taxation & Compliance:

• Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.

• Handle income tax and corporate tax calculations in coordination with external consultants.

• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and reports.


Startup-Specific Accounting & Financial Operations:

• Manage financial processes tailored to a startup environment, including cost optimization and fund utilization tracking.

• Work closely with founders, investors, and financial advisors on financial planning, reporting, and investor-related queries.

• Support due diligence and financial documentation for fundraising, grants, and regulatory submissions.


Payroll Processing & Compliance:

• Manage end-to-end payroll for employees, consultants, and contractual staff, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.

• Handle tax deductions (TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, etc.) and statutory compliance as per Indian labor laws.

• Maintain and update payroll records, including salary structures, deductions, reimbursements, and benefits.

• Ensure compliance with all payroll-related statutory requirements and coordinate with auditors for payroll audits.


Qualifications & Experience

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

• Experience: 4+ years of core accounting experience with at least 1 year handling payroll processing in a startup environment.


Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or SAP.

• Strong understanding of payroll management systems and Excel (advanced skills preferred).

• Sound knowledge of Indian taxation, labor laws, and financial regulations.


Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced startup culture.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
