VoIP Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain VoIP infrastructure using
Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, and Kamailio
.
Develop and integrate call routing, SIP trunking, IVR, and real-time communication features.
Work on
Node.js back-end services
for call control, APIs, and real-time event handling.
Build and maintain
Angular-based dashboards/portals
for managing VoIP services and call analytics.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of telephony systems.
Implement security best practices for SIP, RTP, and WebRTC communications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable communication solutions.
Stay updated with VoIP, WebRTC, and full-stack technologies to propose improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience with
Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, and Kamailio
(installation, configuration, scripting, troubleshooting).
Proficiency in
SIP, RTP, WebRTC, and VoIP protocols
.
Hands-on development experience in
Node.js
and
JavaScript/TypeScript
.
Front-end development experience with
Angular (v10+)
.
Knowledge of
databases
(MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis).
Familiarity with
Linux environments
and networking (firewalls, NAT, load balancing).
Experience with
scalable VoIP deployments
in cloud/on-prem setups.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with
Docker/Kubernetes
for containerized VoIP deployments.
Knowledge of
Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers
.
Exposure to
AI/ML integration
for speech processing (STT/TTS/voice bots).
Familiarity with monitoring tools like
Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK stack
.
