Job Description

Head/VP of Human Resources – Semiconductor Fabrication

Ahmedabad/ Dholera, Gujarat, India (On-site)


About the Business:

Established international greenfield venture of the with expertise in manufacturing precision components is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence. The parent company operates in more than 100 countries across six continents, with the mission 'To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally, through long term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with Trust


Job Summary:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership:

    Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives, particularly in Fab or Foundry operations.
  • Talent Management:

    Oversee recruitment, retention, and development of top talent to ensure the company has the necessary skills and capabilities to meet its goals.
  • Employee Relations:

    Foster a positive and productive work environment, addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
  • Performance Management:

    Implement performance management systems that drive high performance and accountability.
  • Compensation and Benefits:

    Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Training and Development:

    Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  • Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Diversity and Inclusion:

    Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization.
  • HR Metrics:

    Utilize HR metrics to provide insights and drive decision-making.


Qualifications:

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.


  • Experience:

    Minimum of 20 + years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the semiconductor manufacturing industry, specifically in Fab or Foundry operations.


  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws.
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience with HR metrics and analytics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a global or multinational company.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
