Job Description

Are you a 2–4 year UX/UI designer tired of pushing pixels for other people’s decisions, with no real mentorship, no growth path, and no real say in the product?Join us as a Product Designer to own product flows end to end and help shape a next-generation POS platform used by Gen Z restaurant and retail owners across Europe and Asia. We work with a living design system built on Material Expressive, with shared tokens, components, and patterns across web, mobile and desktop. You’ll help evolve it, not just follow it. You’ll work fully remote, use AI tools as a daily design partner, and collaborate with a senior product owner and a fellow designer in weekly critiques and 1:1s as you grow from mid-level toward real product ownership – from first concept to shipped experience.WHY JOIN US?

Design-First

– We treat exceptional UI as a core business advantage, not decoration. Design is involved from day one, from early problem framing to the final pixels, and you help shape what we build instead of polishing whatever arrives at the end of the sprint.

Experience-Obsessed

– We care deeeply about how it feels to use our product. Clear, fast, intuitive flows are what keep our customers and their guests coming back. You design journeys end to end, not just screens, and see their impact directly in real usage and retention.

Product Ownership

– You own the product experience across the full design lifecycle (Discover → Define → Ideate → Design → Prototype → Iterate). You help define problems, shape user journeys, decide trade-offs with product and engineering, and use AI tools to explore options and validate ideas faster.

True Teamwork

– You work side by side with a UI designer and a product owner who reviews your work, runs weekly design critiques, and meets with you 1:1 to help you grow from mid-level to senior. The focus is on real outcomes for users and the business, not on how many screens you produce.

Calm, Predictable Workflow

– We plan design work like real work, not last-minute decoration. You work from a clear design backlog, review priorities in advance, and collaborate in normal hours. As a rule, we avoid calls after work and do not interrupt weekends, because time off is there for you to properly recharge, not quietly finish “urgent” design tasks.

Remote-First

– The role is fully remote. You save time and energy by skipping the commute, have more control over your work environment, and can plan deep-focus design blocks without office noise. Collaboration happens through structured async updates, planned video calls, and shared tools, so you get the benefits of remote work without losing connection to the team.

Fair Compensation & Tools

– You get a clear growth path, annual performance bonuses, and modern hardware (Mac mini or MacBook) so Figma, AI tools, and dev utilities stay fast and responsive. If overtime ever happens, it is the exception, not the rule, and it is tracked and paid rather than expected or hidden.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll design core UX and UI for our next-generation POS platform, including:
  • Order and payment flows on tablet, desktop, and mobile
  • Dashboards for configuration, products, pricing, and reports
  • Inventory and catalog management interfaces
  • Multi-store and multi-device management
  • Supporting flows around AI-powered tools (suggestions, automation, insights)
You’ll do this within a living design system built on Material Expressive, with shared tokens, components, and patterns across web, mobile, and desktop. You’ll shape color roles, motion and animation, component variants, states, and interaction patterns so the product feels

cohesive

,

expressive

, and instantly

recognizable

.YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

Map and refine core workflows

  • Understand current user flows, constraints, and requirements
  • Sketch user journeys and task flows for staff, managers, and owners

Build and evolve our design system

  • Create and maintain Figma libraries (components, variants, tokens)
  • Define spacing, grids, elevation, interaction states, dark mode, etc.
  • Keep the system contemporary and intuitive for Gen Z users
  • Work within a Material Expressive design system you help shape

Design concrete screens and interactions

  • Move from low/mid-fidelity wireframes to polished high-fidelity designs
  • Design for touch, dense information, and fast decision-making
  • Handle real product complexity: empty states, errors, confirmations, edge cases

Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering

  • Collaborating daily with a fellow UX/UI designer
  • Review requirements with the whole team during sprint planning
  • Work closely with developers on implementation details
  • Provide clear specs, document behavior, and review builds against design

Validate and iterate

  • Use internal feedback, pilot customers, analytics, and AI-assisted exploration
  • Refine flows and patterns instead of “ship once and forget”
You’ll see your work leave Figma, ship to production, and be used every day in real restaurants and stores.

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves
  • 2–4 years in product UX/UI Experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer on real digital products (web and apps), not just marketing sites or Dribbble shots.
  • Strong UX thinking (high-level)
    • Can take a vague problem and turn it into clear user journeys and task flows.
    • Comfortable creating lean user personas, mapping user journeys, and defining information architecture.
    • Strong at low-fidelity wireframing to explore options before polishing UI. This should be one of their strongest areas, not an afterthought.
  • Solid Figma skills Components, variants, auto layout, prototypes, basic design tokens, and simple animations/micro-interactions.
  • Material-based product work Hands-on experience with Material Design 3 (ideally Material Expressive), not just copying a few components.
  • Experience with complex workflows Has designed workflow-heavy products such as SaaS tools, dashboards, admin panels, or internal tools, where edge cases, states, and multi-step flows matter.
  • Design system mindset Has contributed to or maintained a design system (libraries, tokens, patterns), not only consumed it.
  • Process & storytelling in a portfolio Can show case studies with: problem, personas/segments, flows, wireframes, iterations, and final UI, plus clear reasoning behind decisions.
  • Comfort with AI in the design process Uses tools like ChatGPT, Figma AI, etc. for exploration, copy, variants, and ops, and treats AI as a partner, not a shortcut to “auto-design.”
  • Remote collaboration & communication Solid English (written + spoken), can work in a structured, async-friendly way with product, dev, and QA in a remote-first environment.
Nice-to-haves
  • Domain familiarity Experience in POS, retail, hospitality, payments/fintech, or logistics.
  • Touch & multi-device experience Has designed for tablets and/or mixed environments (touch + desktop) with dense data and fast decision-making.
  • Deeper design systems experience Worked with tokens at scale (themes, dark mode, multi-brand) and helped keep large Figma libraries clean and maintainable.
  • Motion & micro-interactions Interest or experience in motion, transitions, and interaction details that make complex flows feel lighter and more responsive.
  • Practical UX research exposure Participated in or run usability tests, interviews, or structured feedback sessions, and can turn findings into design changes.
  • Technical empathy Basic understanding of front-end constraints and component-based UI; enjoys working closely with developers on implementation details.
  • Tooling familiarity
Experienced with Jira and Confluence for tickets, specifications, and documentation. Used Balsamiq or UX Pilot for wireframing.
GROWTH & MENTORSHIP
  • Weekly design critiques with the product owner to connect design decisions to reality
  • Clear path from mid-level to Senior Product Designer as you take on larger flows, own full modules, and influence the design system at a system level
  • Quarterly growth discussions with concrete next steps, not vague “keep improving” feedback
  • Deep exposure to how design choices impact performance, support tickets, and long-term maintainability
  • Real ownership from day one on meaningful flows, with guidance and support rather than years of minor “junior” tasks

Summary

If you want to move beyond decorative UI and help design a next-generation POS SaaS product, this role gives you that chance. You’ll own flows, patterns, and a living Material Expressive (Material 3) design system for modern restaurant and retail teams, work fully remote with AI as a daily design partner, see your work ship quickly, and refine it based on real-world use instead of hypothetical Dribbble shots.Skills: ui design,ux research,ui animation, zeplin, figma,ux design, material design
