- Architect, deploy, administer and fine-tune email security systems using platforms such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, Barracuda, or Cisco ESA across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem Exchange environments.
- Implement robust email authentication mechanisms (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to safeguard integrity and prevent spoofing and phishing attacks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve email flow, filtering, and threat-detection challenges.
- Develop secure-by-design architecture that aligns with client needs and Deloitte’s cybersecurity framework & apply appropriate email security controls to secure email systems and users
- Support business development through proposal writing, solutioning, and proof-of-concept efforts.
The Team:Enterprise Security teams embed cybersecurity across all facets of digital transformation by securing a client’s technical infrastructure, while enabling innovation and agility. Their services span security architecture, secure development, cloud cyber capabilities, application and emerging technology security, and secure-by-design initiatives. DevSecOps further integrates automated security into the software development lifecycle, embedding testing and remediation within CI/CD pipelines for agile, risk-aware deployment. Through Deloitte’s DevSecOps framework, teams drive operational efficiency and secure design principles, ensuring robust protection in cloud and application environments.
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 5+ years of experience implementing and managing enterprise-grade Email Security solutions
- Deep expertise in Email Infrastructure and Security including Exchange/Google Workspace
- Hands-on experience with security best practices, troubleshooting email flow issues, configuring and tweaking email security filters
- Strong command of security best practices, including incident response, threat mitigation, spam filter configuration and policy management.
- Proven experience configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to ensure authentication and compliance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshoot email security issues.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Vendor certifications in Email Security products (Proofpoint, Mimecast, etc.).
- Additional certifications (e.g., CISSP, Azure/AWS/GCP) are a good add-on
- Knowledge and good understanding of cloud environment (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Knowledge of cloud-native security, endpoint, or network security technologies.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
