Job Title: US HR Payroll SpecialistLocation: Chandigarh IT ParkEmployment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

Position Summary: The Payroll and HR Specialist is responsible for overseeing and processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and supporting a variety of human resources functions to ensure smooth operations within the organization. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential and efficient manner. The Payroll and HR Specialist will also assist with recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations, providing essential support to both employees and management.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Process bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with all legal and organizational requirements.
  • Review timesheets, overtime, and other payroll-related data for accuracy.
  • Calculate and distribute payroll, including wages, bonuses, commissions, deductions (e.g., taxes, benefits).
  • Ensure proper tax withholding and filing of tax forms (e.g., W-2, W-4) in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues raised by employees, including inquiries about deductions, overtime, and leave balances.
  • Maintain records of all payroll transactions and generate reports as needed for management, finance, and auditing purposes.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Manage employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans).
  • Track and manage employee leave (sick, vacation, FMLA, etc.) and assist with the administration of leave policies.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including maintaining employee files in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Assist with audits related to payroll and human resources, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of required documentation.
  • Stay current on changes in payroll and HR regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries, benefits, and HR-related matters.
  • Maintain positive employee relations by addressing concerns, providing guidance on HR policies, and facilitating conflict resolution.
  • Support performance management and employee recognition programs.
  • Assist with employee training and development initiatives as needed.
  • Help organize employee events, wellness programs, and other initiatives to improve workplace culture.
  • Perform other HR and payroll-related tasks and projects as assigned by HR or management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR and payroll activities.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in full-cycle payroll processing or strong database skills.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of human resources support, preferably within a corporate
  • Proficient in Google Office Suite
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Knowledge of HCM Paylocity
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Quick learner with a flexible approach to changing priorities.

Note:- Require Immediate Joiner for US Shift Time Zone (IST 8:30 PM-5:30 AM)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
