About Role

We are looking for a Senior Executive (Conference Sales & Event Marketing) with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. An ideal candidate will have experience in delegate sales, conference marketing, and managing clients and events, preferably within a media house or a conferences/awards organising company.Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delegate sales and conference marketing for events in India and the UAE, responsible for meeting agreed delegate and sponsorship revenue targets measured monthly and quarterly.
  • Drive lead generation and qualification activities through digital outreach, direct sales, and partner networks; maintain a healthy sales pipeline in CRM and deliver weekly pipeline and forecast reports (leads, proposals, conversions, expected revenue).
  • Convert leads to confirmed delegates and sponsors by preparing tailored proposals, negotiating commercially viable deals, and closing contracts within agreed sales cycle timelines.
  • Manage client accounts post-sale to ensure delivery of defined requirements; aim for client retention and account growth by achieving renewal/upsell targets established with the manager.
  • Plan and execute event marketing campaigns (email, social, content, and partner promotions) to achieve registration targets; track and report campaign KPIs such as reach, conversion rate, and cost-per-acquisition.
  • Coordinate event logistics including venue, vendors, travel, exhibitor management, and on-site staffing; deliver events on time and within budget and ensure all milestones on the event run sheet are met.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction by responding to client inquiries within 24 hours and resolving on-site issues promptly (escalate and resolve critical incidents within 2 hours wherever possible); capture post-event client feedback and target an average satisfaction score in line with company benchmarks.
  • Prepare and present post-event reports and reconciliations (attendance vs target, revenue vs forecast, sponsor fulfilment, learnings and action items) to stakeholders within 7 business days after each event.
  • Monitor event financials: manage budgets, invoice sponsors/delegates, and ensure timely collections; work to achieve margin and revenue targets for each event as agreed with leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, operations, design and external partners to ensure cohesive event delivery and marketing; contribute to continuous improvement by implementing learnings from prior events.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations and vendor contracts in both India and the UAE; proactively identify risks and prepare contingency plans for on-site execution.

Required Qualifications And Experience (Must-haves)

  • Graduate degree (Bachelor's) from a recognised university.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in delegate sales, event marketing, or client management.
  • Proven knowledge of delegate sales processes, sponsor and client management, and event promotion.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines, track leads, and produce sales forecasts.
  • Proficiency in digital outreach techniques for event promotion (email marketing, social media, partner outreach).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare proposals and negotiate commercially viable deals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight event timelines while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to on-site challenges.

Desired / Preferred Qualifications

Graduation or MBA in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a media house or with a conferences/awards organising company.
  • Demonstrated success in delegate sales, sponsorship acquisition, and event promotion across India and the Middle East.
  • Experience managing events with on-site delivery in the UAE is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic event financial processes (budgeting, invoicing, collections) and experience preparing post-event reconciliations.
  • Comfortable working with digital marketing tools and analytics to measure campaign performance and ROI.
