This mid- to senior-level position requires a blend of deep technical understanding, project management excellence, and the ability to work across systems teams to deliver high-performance, space-qualified GNC solutions.
· Own and lead all programmatic aspects of GNC, which includes ADCS, and Propulsion subsystem development for satellite platforms.
· Collaborate closely with embedded systems, avionics, software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to define technical architecture and program objectives.
· Drive project execution from scoping and planning through testing, validation, and mission deployment. Drive project execution from scoping through delivery.
· Creation and sign-off of major milestones and roadmaps of programs/projects planned for satellite missions.
· Coordinate subsystem-level design reviews, simulations, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and system integration.
· Manage design maturity, test campaigns, and qualification efforts in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
· Maintain accurate and prioritized backlogs using tools like Jira and Confluence; generate status dashboards and reports for program metrics and customer updates.
· Establish effective communication cadences with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and leadership.
· Lead root-cause analysis and mitigation strategies for technical and schedule risks. Identification of risks and detailing of a mitigation plan to ensure that the project stays on track, or is brought back on track in the event of delays or blockers
· Promote best practices, repeatable processes, and continuous improvement across programs.
· Keep senior executives and business teams updated on project timelines and results.
· Communicate schedules, dependencies, issues, and risks across teams and stakeholders.
· Lead program scoping with architecture, engineering, and senior leaders.
· Produce weekly status reports and attend weekly status meetings.
· Lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts with internal cross-functional teams and external partners.
· Align the audience to organizational goals and outcomes, create engagement, and empower teams.
· A detailed work breakdown of the project into a backlog of requirements for the entire project, and prioritized backlogs for every iteration, typically maintained in tools like Jira and Confluence. This should include dashboards, visualizations, and reports to track key metrics (project metrics, customer metrics, and product metrics)
· Establishment of learnings, best practices, standardized frameworks, and tools across programs and projects
· Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
· 3 To 5 years of experience as TPM
· Experience with embedded control systems, sensor fusion, actuators (reaction wheels, thrusters, magnetorquers), and navigation filters (e.g., EKF).
· Familiarity with mission dynamics, attitude control algorithms, and orbital mechanics.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to coordinate across disciplines and levels of leadership.
· Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Git.
· Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and methodologies.
· A critical thinker and problem solver.
· Ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
· Prior experience leading space missions from early-phase design through launch and operations.
· Experience with reaction wheel/magnetorquer modeling, star trackers, IMUs, GPS receivers, and propulsion integration.
· Familiarity with FDIR (fault detection, isolation & recovery) and system-level autonomy.
· Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or C/C++ for control simulation and analysis.
· Industry certifications like PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile Scrum Master are a plus.
· Experience with satellite propulsion systems (cold gas, electric, or chemical).
· Comfortable managing vendor relationships and hardware procurement cycles.
