Position: Technical Presales Manager

Location: Mumbai – Vikhroli (with occasional travel to customer locations on a need basis)

Industry Experience: Telecom

Education: B.E/B.Tech in IT/CS/EXTC/ECE/Telecom

Minimum Experience: 6-7 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive solutions leveraging Vegayan’s network software products (network management, automation, and IT applications), emphasizing business value and competitive differentiation.
  • Act as the technical expert in external customer meetings with network operators, enterprises, and system integrators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map customer requirements into customized Telecom + IT software solutions.
  • Lead customer discussions, solution demonstrations, and workshops, showcasing product USPs and value propositions.
  • Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and functional requirements to align Vegayan’s solutions with customer needs, ensuring high-quality proposal responses.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, including SoW, BRD, and UAT frameworks.
  • Support customer engagement strategies focused on network planning, automation, and advanced solution requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing collateral (case studies, white papers, technical blogs, and product presentations).

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of communication networks with focus on network planning, design, and services.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Telecom technologies: IP/MPLS, L2/L3 services, Optical Transport, GPON, RAN.
  • Experience with SDN, network telemetry, and automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with OSS/BSS stack, IT systems, and enterprise software integration.
  • Exposure to IT software platforms, SaaS applications, cloud-based tools, and APIs.
  • Prior experience in Telecom operator planning/design or OEM Presales/Solution Architecting is mandatory.

General Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with senior executives (GM/VP/CXO level).
  • Proficiency in developing impactful presentations with clear messaging.
  • Confident in conducting technical workshops, demos, and executive-level solution pitches.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with customer-first mindset.
  • High energy, multi-tasking capability, and ability to thrive under deadlines.
  • Team player with strong coordination, organizing skills, and integrity in handling sensitive information.
