Job Description

RAIN is seeking a Manager ( Internal Audit) to join its Global Internal audit team.


Manager (Internal Audit)



KEY DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for delivering the assigned audit work in line with GIA methodology with limited supervision.
  • Responsible for Audit scoping, developing the test plan, completing the testing as per test plan, writing associated work papers, drafting sections of the Audit Report, and contributing to themes and insights.
  • It is likely that at times while operating as a team member the Manger Internal audit will have other activities to deliver such as planning for their next audit, finalization of action plan for the previous audit.
  • Verifying completion of Agreed Management Actions for Findings assigned in the database of findings.
  • Support quarterly reporting to Management and the Board. This could include updating data, writing sections of reports, supporting development of insights and themes.
  • Business relationships –hold relationships with relevant people in the business both verbal and written to help facilitate delivery of assigned audit work.
  • Live the Rain Values and operate to high ethical standards – we access confidential information and are visible across the Group, so we must operate to the highest standards.

Knowledge

  • Internal Audit methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Business Knowledge – an understanding of Process industry, Petrochemical industry, and oil & gas industry. Do performance improvement and efficiency analysis of existing system and may proposed new projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of existing system.
  • Functional knowledge – an understanding of some of the key support functions e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Company Secretariat, etc.

Skills:

  • Internal Auditing, risk, and controls skills.
  • Fact based and attention to detail – comfortable operating in a detailed, fact-based environment.
  • Analytic skills – ability to apply clarity of thought to audit work.
  • Sound judgement – ability to identify issues that need further testing and understanding of own limitations/when to consult.
  • Report writing- strong written English skills.
  • Gravitas and credible – ability to establish credibility through consistent approach and clarity in assertions
  • Managing diverse relationships – across different parts of the business in support of audit delivery.

Experience:

  • Sound Internal Audit and/or other relevant experience
  • Experience in business with direct / indirect contributions in the areas viz., Quality Assurance, Internal Controls, or Internal Compliance functions (first or second line of defense) preferred.
  • Experience of working in different geographies and multicultural organizations would be an advantage.


Required qualification:

  • B.Tech in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical possibly with second degree e.g. MSc, MBA
  • 6 – 10 Years Experience.
  • Professional qualification, for example Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, IT certifications, chartered engineer, OSHA Lead Auditor


Soft Skills:

  • Good communication skills in English both verbal and written.
