Job Summary:

Technical Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain analytics and reporting dashboards using

    Power BI

    ,

    Excel

    ,

    Flexera

    , and other platforms to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Strategic Spend leads and cross-functional technology teams to uncover opportunities in areas such as labor optimization, vendor efficiency, capital expenditures, and license utilization.
  • Participate in the lifecycle management of software entitlements, including license tracking, usage analysis, and financial forecasting.
  • Work alongside Entitlements Analysts to assess and align software demand with strategic priorities.
  • Monitor third-party vendor risks and assist in optimizing contracts and costs related to contingent labor and technology purchases.
  • Establish a regular cadence (monthly/quarterly) of reporting to management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct detailed ad hoc analysis to support ongoing business and IT initiatives.
  • Apply understanding of the Trade Lifecycle to support analysis related to trade processing, settlements, and post-trade operations.


  • Engage with Custodian banks and relevant systems to support reconciliation, asset servicing, and regulatory reporting efforts.

  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and plan deliverables in alignment with IT and business roadmaps.
  • Ensure data integrity across reports and dashboards and recommend process improvements where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in

    Business Analysis

    , particularly in a

    technical or financial services environment

    .
  • Proficiency with

    Excel (advanced level)

    and

    Power BI

    .
  • Foundational knowledge of

    SQL

    , including basic joins and understanding of data schemas.
  • Good understanding of

    software asset management

    and tools like

    Flexera

    or

    Incorta

    .
  • Strong

    financial acumen

    , with working knowledge of

    basic accounting principles

    and

    accruals

    .
  • Ability to manage and interpret large data sets, develop KPIs, and deliver insights effectively.
  • Excellent

    communication skills

    – verbal, written, and presentational.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with

    software license optimization

    practices.
  • Experience in

    vendor risk management

    and

    workforce analytics

    .
  • Exposure to

    technology planning

    or

    IT strategy functions

    is a plus.
