Sustainable Finance Specialist
to drive our sustainability agenda and support the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles across financial decision-making processes. This role requires a deep understanding of sustainable finance frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, ESG risk assessment, and climate-related financial disclosures. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and a passion for advancing responsible and impact-driven growth.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of ESG and sustainable finance strategies, ensuring alignment with global sustainability standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct ESG due diligence, impact assessments, and risk evaluations for investment opportunities, lending portfolios, and financial products.
- Analyze and monitor sustainability-related risks and opportunities within the organization's financial and operational ecosystem.
- Work closely with internal teams to structure green finance instruments including green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, and impact-focused investment products.
- Support stakeholders in integrating sustainability metrics and ESG considerations into business planning, performance measurement, and reporting.
- Prepare sustainability and ESG-related disclosures, including TCFD, GRI, SASB, UN SDGs, integrated reporting, and other regulatory submissions.
- Drive engagement with rating agencies, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies to enhance transparency and strengthen the organization's sustainability positioning.
- Track and interpret emerging sustainable finance trends, global sustainability policies, and ESG regulatory developments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—finance, strategy, legal, procurement, compliance, and operations—to embed sustainability across the value chain.
- Participate in sustainability projects, workshops, training initiatives, and stakeholder engagements aimed at promoting ESG awareness and cultural transformation.
- Evaluate financial implications of sustainability programs, climate transition plans, and decarbonization strategies.
What We're Looking For
- 4-10 years of relevant experience in sustainability, ESG integration, sustainable finance, corporate sustainability, or environmental risk management.
- Strong understanding of global ESG frameworks, sustainable reporting standards, climate risk methodologies, and impact measurement tools.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis, investment processes, risk management, and capital market instruments related to sustainable financing.
- Proven experience working with green financing solutions, ESG disclosures, or sustainability-linked investment strategies.
- Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
- Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to work independently, lead cross-functional initiatives, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications such as CFA ESG, GARP SCR, IFRS Sustainability Certification, or equivalent are a strong advantage.
