Job Purpose

The Store Executive is responsible for the efficient and accurate management of the company's manufacturing store, ensuring timely and correct issuance, receipt, and inventory control of raw materials, components, consumables, and finished goods to support uninterrupted production and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receipt and Inspection:

  • Receive all incoming materials (raw materials, components, spares, consumables, tools, etc.) against Purchase Orders (POs) and Gate Entry records.
  • Conduct preliminary visual inspection for quantity, correct part number, and apparent damage.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) department for detailed inspection and clearance of materials.
  • Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) or equivalent documentation in the ERP system I.e. Tally ERP or Tally Prime upon successful inspection and entry.

2. Storage and Preservation:

  • Ensure all materials are stored in designated locations with proper labeling, following the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principle.
  • Maintain optimal storage conditions, ensuring proper material handling and preservation, especially for finished/semi-finished sheet metal components and sensitive items.
  • Ensure the store layout and stacking are organized, safe, and easily accessible.

3. Material Issuance and Dispatch:

  • Issue materials to the production floor and other departments strictly against Material Requisitions (MR) or Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Maintain accurate records of all materials issued and consumed.
  • Assist in the pre-dispatch activities for finished goods, including counting, packaging, labeling, and coordinating with the logistics team for dispatch as per the Delivery Challan (DC) or Sales Order.

4. Inventory Management and Control:

  • Maintain accurate physical and system inventory records (stock ledger/ERP).
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and physical verification of stock.
  • Investigate and reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Highlight minimum stock levels and potential material shortages to the Store Manager/Purchase Department in a timely manner.
  • Identify and report on non-moving, slow-moving, or obsolete stock.

5. Documentation and System Operations:

  • Maintain all store-related documentation (GRN, MR, DC, Stock Transfer Notes) in a systematic and auditable manner.
  • Ensure all store transactions are recorded accurately and promptly in the company's ERP/Inventory management system.
  • Generate periodic reports on stock levels, consumption, and variances as required by management.

6. Safety and Housekeeping:

  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) within the store area.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness in the store area.
  • Handle and store hazardous materials (if any) as per safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Any Graduate / Diploma in Engineering or equivalent. A qualification in Material Management is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in Store/Warehouse operations, preferably in a Sheet Metal / Automobile component manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software/ERP systems i.e. Tally ERP or Tally Prime is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel for reporting and data analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of material identification, stacking, and preservation techniques in a manufacturing setup.
  • Key Competencies:
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing store.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
