Quality Assurance Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position – QA Engineer (Supplier Quality)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in Customer Quality. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for all quality-related issues raised by our customers. You will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and resolving customer complaints, and working cross-functionally to implement corrective and preventive actions. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Complaint Management:
• Serve as the main technical liaison between the company and our customers regarding product quality issues.
• Investigate and analyze customer-reported quality problems, returns, and field failures.
• Lead or support root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagrams, etc.
• Document all customer complaints, investigations, and resolutions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA):
• Work with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and other internal teams to develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Track the implementation and effectiveness of CAPAs to ensure a permanent resolution of the issues.
• Communicate RCA findings and CAPA plans clearly and concisely to customers.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Collect and analyze quality data from customer feedback, warranty returns, and field performance.
• Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards on customer quality performance for management review.
• Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Process Improvement:
• Participate in design reviews and new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure customer quality requirements are met from the beginning.
• Work to improve existing quality processes and standards based on customer feedback and field performance data.
• Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection plans, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Supplier and Internal Audits:
• May be required to participate in supplier quality audits to ensure components meet quality specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to conduct process and product audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

Qualifications:

• Education: DME or BE (Mechanical)
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance as a supplier QA engg.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
• Proven experience in root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA).
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
