Job Description – Store Manager (Swiggy / Swiggy Instamart) Job Title: Store Manager Department: Operations – Swiggy Instamart / Swiggy Stores Employment Type: Full-time Role OverviewThe Store Manager is responsible for end-to-end operations of the Swiggy store/Instamart hub, ensuring smooth inventory flow, high order accuracy, on-time dispatch, team management, and exceptional customer experience. The role demands strong leadership, process adherence, and the ability to run a high-volume, fast-paced operations environment. Key Responsibilities1. Store OperationsEnsure smooth daily operations and compliance with SOPs. Oversee receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods. Maintain store hygiene, safety, and audit standards. Monitor order processing time (OPT) and maintain Swiggy service-level metrics. 2. Inventory ManagementPerform daily stock checks and reconcile discrepancies. Maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize stock-outs. Conduct periodic cycle counts and coordinate with central supply chain teams. Reduce shrinkage, damages, and wastage. 3. Team LeadershipManage and supervise store staff (pickers, packers, associates). Create shift schedules and ensure adequate manpower. Train and upskill team members on operational processes and safety. Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment. 4. Vendor & Rider CoordinationCoordinate with vendors for timely stock replenishment. Work with Swiggy delivery fleet to ensure fast and efficient dispatch. 5. Performance & ReportingTrack daily KPIs: order accuracy, OPT, shrinkage, attendance, and productivity. Prepare daily/weekly reports for Ops leadership. Identify process gaps and propose improvement initiatives. 6. Customer ExperienceEnsure high order accuracy and quality checks before dispatch. Resolve escalations and work with support teams to improve ratings. Required QualificationsGraduate in any discipline (Preferred: supply chain / business management). 2–5 years of experience in store/warehouse/retail/FMCG operations. Strong knowledge of inventory handling, WMS, and digital operations tools. Experience in team management.
