Staff Accountant II

Responsibilities Will Include

• Provide required data and supporting schedules to external auditors during periodic audits, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual closing of books, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Perform regular reconciliation of all general ledger (GL) accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Manage and monitor Prepaid GL Accounts to ensure proper amortization and periodic adjustments.
• Conduct first-level verification of accounting entriesPerform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) in the ERP system to ensure proper alignment of bank balances with accounting records.
• Provide detailed analysis and explanations for variances, unusual transactions, and significant balance movements.
• Maintain strict adherence to internal accounting controls by following defined policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
• Process vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Making vendor paymentsAssist in preparation of primary data for statutory filings, including GST returns, tax audit support, and other local compliance requirements.
• Support management in preparing financial reports as required for decision making and business performance review.
• Work closely with Mananger Accounting to identify process improvement opportunities and implement system automations.
• Support projects related to system implementations or process enhancements within the Finance & Accounting function.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2+ years of experience
• Solid foundation in India GAAP
• Organized in the way you document and support your work
• Highly driven and self-motivated
• Attention to detail
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral
• Skilled in Excel and accounting systems
• Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines
