Staff Accountant II

Role Overview: You will apply intermediate accounting knowledge to support financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance activities. Additionally, you will assist in transitioning additional work to the Corporate Accounting Team. Key Responsibilities: - Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across accounts. - Assist in preparing audit schedules and support internal & external auditors during audit reviews. - Focus on process improvement and make recommendations for enhancing the organization's accounting operations. - Ensure that SOX documentation is up to date and followed for areas of responsibility. - Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports. - Fulfill ad-hoc responsibilities as required. Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting. - 1 to 3 years of accounting experience. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail. - Solid understanding and application of accounting principles, concepts, practices, and standards. - Problem-solving skills to develop solutions for complex issues. - Analytical skills to collect, summarize, and interpret financial results. - Ability to organize and prioritize work activities to meet deadlines. - Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. - Self-starter with the ability to work under general direction. - High degree of computer literacy with accounting enterprise software and Microsoft applications.
