Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented accountant with strong expertise in India statutory accounting. The ideal candidate is highly system-savvy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has hands-on experience managing end-to-end accounting processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate accounting, with deep knowledge of India GAAP, GST, and TDS.
- Strong experience with statutory filings, reconciliations, and responding to government notices.
- ERP experience required (NetSuite preferred); Coupa familiarity is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookups, etc.); SQL exposure is an advantage.
- Experience with payroll inputs, G/L month-end close, and financial consolidations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment.
- Familiarity with CSR calculations, transfer pricing, and audit support preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and roll-forwards.
- Oversee inter-company transactions, expense allocations, and payroll inputs.
- Manage statutory compliance for India, including GST, TDS, income tax, and CSR obligations.
- Prepare monthly consolidations, cash forecasts, and actual vs. budget reporting.
- Support external audits and respond to tax and regulatory notices.
- Drive process improvements in accounting, payroll, and reporting workflows.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems, recommending enhancements where needed.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives.
