Job Description

Job Title: Senior Human Resources (HR) Manager – Manufacturing

Location: Vadodara
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Plant Head / HR Director
Experience Required: 10+ years (with minimum 5 years in a manufacturing setup)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior HR Manager to lead the human resources function in our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for developing HR strategies, implementing policies, and ensuring the workforce operates efficiently and compliantly in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in union handling, compliance, employee engagement, and workforce planning in a manufacturing context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive HR initiatives to support plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Talent Management
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for blue-collar and white-collar roles.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and development programs for skill enhancement.
  • Employee Relations
  • Manage industrial relations, including union negotiations and grievance handling.
  • Foster a positive work culture with high employee engagement and retention.
  • Compliance & Labor Law
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all labor laws, including PF, ESI, Factory Act, etc.
  • Maintain accurate statutory documentation and liaise with government authorities as required.
  • Performance Management
  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems.
  • Identify and address training needs in coordination with department heads.
  • HR Operations
  • Oversee payroll processing, attendance systems, and HRIS management.
  • Monitor HR budgets, workforce cost planning, and manpower rationalization.
  • Health, Safety & Welfare
  • Partner with EHS team to ensure safety protocols are embedded across the site.
  • Lead welfare initiatives, health camps, and employee well-being programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing setup.
  • Sound knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage HR teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
  • Experience in implementing HRMS/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in shift-based environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
