Sr. Accountant Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in Surat. The role involves end-to-end accounting ownership, financial reporting, MIS analysis, statutory compliance, and audit coordination.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, hands-on accounting expertise, and the ability to interpret financial data, improve processes, and mentor junior team members, while supporting management with accurate and insightful financial information.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS / GAAP, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Review and manage GST, TDS, and tax filings, and coordinate with tax advisors.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning.
• Handle fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Support statutory, tax, and internal audits, ensuring timely closure and accurate documentation.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants, ensuring quality and accuracy of work.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, consultants, and tax authorities.
• Support the Finance Manager / Head of Finance on strategic initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• CA Inter / Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant / M.Com or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate environment.
• Strong exposure to statutory compliance, MIS reporting, and audit processes.
• Experience in budgeting and financial analysis will be an advantage.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems (Tally Prime, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Experience with GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and present insights to management.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and process orientation.
• Effective communication, coordination, and team mentoring skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹38,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
