Role Overview As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will own the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance test automation frameworks. You’ll collaborate with engineers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure robust, reliable releases and drive continuous quality improvement across our platform. Key Responsibilities Architect, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing. Develop clean, efficient, and reusable automation scripts in Python, Java, or JavaScript. Integrate continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Perform API testing with REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools. Execute performance and load testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, or Gatling. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, DevOps, QA) to identify gaps, debug failures, and optimize release quality. Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging automation tools, best practices, and DevOps methodologies. Contribute to security testing initiatives (penetration testing, vulnerability scanning) – a plus. Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar role. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript. Proven track record designing and implementing test frameworks from scratch using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or WebDriverIO. Expertise in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, Agile, TDD, and BDD. Experience with version control (Git), build tools (Maven, Gradle), and artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory). Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality assurance. Nice-to-Have Familiarity with security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite). Exposure to microservices, distributed systems, and container orchestration. Certification in ISTQB, AWS/Azure cloud, or relevant automation tools.
