Job Details:
Technical And Internal Responsibilities
- Contract Interpretation & Requirements Development Analyze service contracts, performance agreements, and technical appendices to define KPI and SLA obligations. Translate these into actionable business and data requirements.
- Technical Requirements Authoring Work closely with data engineers and architects to draft precise functional and non-functional requirements that align with backend data capabilities.
- Data Analysis & Validation Use SQL and other tools to analyze and validate data, assess data quality and availability, and support the development of performance and compliance reports.
- Backlog Management & User Story Creation Create and manage user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment.
- Database & Reporting Support Utilize SQL/PL-SQL for data querying. Support analytics using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau to assist in translating raw data into meaningful insights.
- Solution Design Collaboration Participate in solution design reviews to ensure technical delivery aligns with business needs and contractual obligations.
- Testing & Quality Assurance Support Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing by validating that outputs align with defined requirements and KPI/SLA logic.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Produce structured documentation such as business requirement documents (BRDs), data mappings, process flows, and user guides.
Client-Facing & Stakeholder Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Partner with internal stakeholders, delivery leads, and technical teams to gather requirements, resolve gaps, and align reporting needs with delivery capabilities.
- Workshops & Requirement Gathering Conduct and lead customer-facing workshops to elicit, clarify, and socialize reporting and data requirements.
- KPI/SLA Program Management Support the development and ongoing management of standardized KPI and SLA metrics, ensuring transparency and consistency across delivery teams.
- Reporting Specification Development Translate requirements into clear specifications for dashboard and report development, especially around contractual and operational metrics.
- Service Insights & Continuous Improvement Identify gaps or inefficiencies in service delivery through KPI analysis and provide actionable insights to relevant teams.
- Change Impact Management Assess the impact of operational, contractual, or regulatory changes on reporting requirements and coordinate corresponding updates.
Required Qualifications
- Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- Experience
- 6+ years in a data-centric business analyst or technical analyst role
- Hands-on experience working with KPIs/SLAs derived from service contracts
- Strong exposure to client-facing environments, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL with the ability to write, interpret, and optimize queries
- Hands-on experience with backlog management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with Power BI and/or Tableau
- Understanding of data pipelines and data modeling concepts is highly desirable
- Domain Knowledge
- Experience working with contractual KPIs and performance frameworks
- Ability to translate business requirements into executable technical specifications
