Position: Senior System Engineer

Job Responsibility:

Minimum Qualification

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are highly desirable.

•Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on infrastructure and M365 migrations.

Job Duties:

•Lead and manage end-to-end infrastructure migration projects, including Linux and Windows servers, cloud platforms, and other infrastructure components.

•Lead and manage end-to-end M365 migration projects, including email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other M365 services.

•Develop comprehensive migration plans, timelines, and resource allocation. Perform pre-migration assessments and readiness checks. Generate and present regular reports on migration progress, issues, and resolutions.

•Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues and provide technical support during the migration. Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process. Proven experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in an M365 environment.

•Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support throughout the migration process. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets project deadlines.

•Collaborate with the internal team to align migration strategies with organizational goals.

•Coordinate with external vendors and stakeholders as needed. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for future migrations.

•Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices and migration procedures. Utilize automation tools and scripts for efficient migration processes. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for future migrations.

•Accountable for their team’s success, including managing the team and creating new offerings based on market trends.

•Maintain and manage the Helpdesk, assist with escalations, and support junior technicians.

•Implement and manage M365 modern desktop solutions, including Intune for device management, Microsoft Purview for compliance, Azure Information Protection (AIP), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).

•Proficiency in Linux (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server (e.g., 2016, 2019, 2022) administration.

•Deep understanding of Active Directory (AD) design, migration, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation).

•Experience with server roles and features such as DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, and file/print services.

•Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Expertise in migrating on-premises products to Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS workloads.

•Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls. Experience with network infrastructure devices (e.g., routers, switches, load balancers).

•Expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).

•Extensive experience with database migrations, including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL databases.

•Proficiency in managing database performance, backup, and recovery in cloud environments.

•Comprehensive knowledge of M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.

•Familiarity with migration tools such as BitTitan, MigrationWiz, Sharegate, etc.

•Knowledge of data migration and backup tools, such as Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365, etc.

•Stay current with industry updates, features, and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements to migration processes and tools. Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance the migration experience.
