Role Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Rest Assured, and Cypress.
• Implement automated test pipelines integrated with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Contribute to test architecture, including reusable test utilities, reporting, and data generation strategies.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to translate business requirements into test plans and code-based test cases.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring test automation code meets engineering standards.
• Drive end-to-end testing efforts including smoke, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Create and maintain meaningful test documentation, including execution logs and defect reports.
• Support test data creation and mocking strategies for isolated and repeatable test environments.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, actively contributing to planning and retrospectives with a quality-first mindset.
  

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation and framework development.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, with practical coding experience in a test automation context.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium with TestNG, Rest Assured for APIs).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with unit and integration test frameworks such as JUnit, PyTest, or Mocha.
• Knowledge of test strategy approaches for scalable automation, including parallel execution and environment configuration.
• Comfortable using tools such as Postman and JMeter in automated, not just manual, workflows.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC processes, and Agile best practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of API mocking and data virtualization techniques.
