At Fictiv, you'll be surrounded by supportive teammates who will push you to be your best through their curiosity and passion.Impact In This RoleAs the Senior Engineering Manager, QA at Fictiv, you will play a key techno-managerial role — combining leadership, strategy, and hands-on technical expertise to shape our QA organization. You will lead a team of more than 15 quality engineers, drive an automation-first culture, and ensure seamless integration of quality in our AWS-based CI/CD pipelines. Your leadership will be central to improving reliability, performance, and security across our web applications, APIs, and enterprise integrations.You will report to the Director of Engineering.What You’ll Be Doing
- Build, scale, and lead a high-performing QA team focused on automation, CI/CD, and engineering excellence.
- Drive automation-first QA strategy — minimizing manual testing while maximizing automation coverage across web, APIs, and integrations.
- Own and evolve Cypress-based automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Integrate testing into AWS CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) with automated quality gates.
- Oversee test management lifecycle using Zephyr Scale on Jira — from planning to execution and reporting.
- Ensure quality across a complex ecosystem:
- Web applications: Node.js, React, GraphQL, REST APIs, TypeScript, Python
- Enterprise platforms: Salesforce, NetSuite, MuleSoft, Odoo
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality releases.
- Track, measure, and report quality KPIs (automation coverage, defect leakage, release readiness, cycle time).
- Mentor senior QA engineers, fostering technical depth and leadership growth in the team.
- Promote a quality engineering culture across the organization — embedding QA into the software development lifecycle, not as a checkpoint but as a partner.
Desired Traits
Must Have
- 15–20 years of QA experience, with at least 7+ years in leadership/managerial roles.
- Proven experience leading and scaling teams of 10+ engineers
- Proven success in leading QA for large-scale, customer-facing SaaS/web applications.
- Strong expertise in automation frameworks (Cypress required; Selenium, Playwright, or similar a plus).
- Hands-on experience in testing and automating APIs (REST, GraphQL).
- Experience integrating QA into AWS CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch).
- Experience testing tightly-coupled, multi-system architectures with complex interdependencies.
- Proven expertise in B2B customer integration testing
- Strong technical foundation in web technologies, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.
- Track record of managing QA for enterprise platforms like Salesforce, NetSuite, MuleSoft, and Odoo.
- Provided oversight and collaboration in release management processes.
- Familiarity with test management tools (Zephyr Scale preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Nice to Have
- Release management experience in SaaS/enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing (JMeter, Gatling, OWASP).
- Knowledge of cloud-native testing practices and test data management.
- Prior exposure to the manufacturing industry or hardware-adjacent platforms.
- Previous supply chain industry experience
