MEP Construction Manager Job Duties
MEP Construction Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of all aspects of Mechanical (Including Cleanroom), Electrical (including Instrumentation & Control), and Process (Including Gas, Chemical, Water/Waste) systems in construction projects.
The candidate will have a minimum of 10~15 years of experience managing MEP projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. He or she will have a strong working knowledge of all aspects of MEP systems and be able to effectively communicate with all project stakeholders. The MEP Project Manager must be a team player with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide input and support to the Project Manager during the development of Micron Procedures (Project Execution Plan and Construction execution plan). ·MEP project management of multiple projects, including coordination with other trades, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project completionMeeting regularly with all stakeholders (end users, operations, project, contractors, vendors, etc.) to discuss project progress and issues that may arise during the project execution.
Managing and overseeing the entire project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, procurement management, etc.
Overseeing the project team’s work to ensure that they meet deadlines and milestones
Review of project documents for compliance with company standards and procedures to ensure that they meet requirements and specifications
Development of project schedules, budgets, and estimates
Coordination and scheduling of MEP resources, both internally and externally
Tracking of project milestones and deliverables
Identification and resolution of project issues and risks
Providing technical expertise and experience where needed to solve complex problems
Monitoring changes in legislation and industry trends to ensure that projects are up to date with best practices
Management of change orders and contract modifications
Preparation of progress reports and status updates
Conducting of project meetings and site visits
Managing Design & Construction vendors and Gas Plant Supplier to ensure that they meet deadlines and deliver high-quality products or services according to specifications
Communicating with stakeholders about project status, risks, and challenges
Managing conflict among team members to ensure that all parties are collaborating well with each other towards the common goals/ objectives.

Close-out of MEP project documentation
MEP Construction managers need the following skills:
Communication: As an MEP Construction manager, you will be responsible for communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, team members and suppliers. Effective communication to convey important information, answer questions and resolve issues.
Organized: Being organized to help a Project Manager save time, as they can more easily find the information they need or the files they need to access.
Time management: Ensure that each task is completed on time and within budget.
Problem-solving: As an MEP Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project, which means you need to be able to identify potential issues and develop solutions to overcome them. For example, if a supplier is unable to deliver the materials needed for a project, you may be able to develop a plan to continue the project.
Leadership: As an MEP Construction Manager, you can use your leadership skills to help your team work together to complete projects on time and within budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
10+ years’ experience in MEP project management. Experience in Semiconductor Cleanroom construction
Proven track record of successful project delivery
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Project
Thorough understanding of building codes and standards
Construction procedures and practices
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple contractors simultaneously
Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment.
Strong English ability in speaking and writing, be able to communicate with English speaking engineers both verbally and by writing.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
15+ years’ experience in MEP construction management
PE license
LEED AP certification
Experience with value engineering and constructability
