Senior Production Merchandiser

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: Minimum 8 years of combined experience in a garment export factory and a buying agency is required.

Availability: Must be able to join within a week or by 01/8/25 at the latest.

Preferred Location: Candidates from Gurgaon preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduation from NIFT or PEARL Academy will be highly preferred.

• Educational background in Business Management or Management Studies is a plus.

• Prior experience working with clients and teams in fast-paced environments.

About the Role:

As a Senior Merchandiser at DDBS, you will take on a key role in managing client relationships, overseeing product development, and ensuring the smooth execution of orders. You will work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and exceptional quality. Success in this role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of garment production processes.

You must also be able to follow instructions, actively participate in discussions to drive business growth, and exhibit the right attitude towards teamwork and leadership. You will be independently and individually handling a buyer account.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their unique needs, preferences, and business goals.

• Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients through effective communication and exceptional service delivery.

• Regularly engage with clients to manage expectations and provide updates on project progress.

Merchandising & Production

• Oversee the end-to-end merchandising process, from concept to delivery, ensuring all products meet the required quality and design standards.

• Collaborate with design and production teams to translate client requirements into detailed production plans and timelines.

• Monitor and manage production schedules, proactively identifying potential delays or issues and addressing them to meet deadlines.

• Ensure compliance with client-specific requirements, including portal work and CP/CP calls.

Supplier Management

• Negotiate with factories and suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and high-quality materials.

• Evaluate factory performance based on quality, timelines, and pricing, maintaining a database of trusted, approved factories for various product categories.

• Continuously assess factory capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement or new partnerships.

Problem Solving and Issue Resolution

• Proactively handle any challenges or issues that arise during the production or delivery process, ensuring swift and effective resolutions to keep projects on track.

• Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, including clients and suppliers, to ensure transparency and manage expectations throughout the process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum 8 years of combined experience in a garment export factory and buying agency.

• Strong knowledge of garment production processes, quality control standards, and supply chain management.

• Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools for tracking production schedules, costs, and inventory.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

• Salary Slips from previous 2 organizations will be required.
