Products and Services:

The Company operates in various business segments through its Strategic Business Units [SBUs] and Joint Venture Companies [JVCs]. It is the market leader in Industrial Steel Barrels, Greases & Specialty Lubricants, Corporate Travel and Logistics Services. It also has a significant presence in most other businesses it operates in, namely, Logistics Infrastructure, Cold Chain, Chemicals and Refinery & Oil Field Services [ROFS]. The Company has eight SBUs - Industrial Packaging, Greases & Lubricants, Chemicals, Travel & Vacations, Logistics Infrastructure, Logistics Services, Cold Chain and Refinery & Oil Field Services [ROFS] with offices spread across the country and abroad.


Minimum Eligibility Criteria (as of 03rd October 2025):

  • Minimum Qualification: Full Time Engineering Graduate (any specialisation) OR 2 years’ MBA or Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Management
  • Minimum Post-Qualification Experience: 11 years

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Management:

  1. Provide overall leadership to the CFS unit ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day operations.
  2. Develop and implement business strategies aligned with organizational goals to drive growth and profitability.
  3. Prepare and monitor annual budgets, cost controls, and revenue targets.

Operational Excellence:

  1. Oversee and manage the end-to-end container handling process including receipt, storage, stuffing/de-stuffing, and dispatch.
  2. Ensure compliance with customs regulations, port procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  3. Drive process improvements, reduce turnaround time (TAT), and improve asset utilization.

Team Management & Development:

  1. Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, billing documentation, commercial, and admin staff.
  2. Set clear performance expectations, conduct periodic reviews, and facilitate training and development initiatives.
  3. Foster a collaborative and safety-first culture.

Customer Relationship Management:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including shipping lines, CHAs, transporters, and regulatory bodi es.
  2. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving service issues promptly and offering customized logistics solutions.

Compliance, Safety & Regulatory Affairs:

  1. Ensure full compliance with local laws, customs regulations, labour codes, and health/safety/environment (HSE) standards.
  2. Liaise with Customs, Port Trusts, and other regulatory agencies for smooth functioning and clearances.

Commercial & Financial Oversight:

  1. Oversee billing, collections, and debtor management to ensure healthy cash flow.
  2. Monitor commercial agreements, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) for efficiency and profitability.
  3. Conduct periodic market analysis and competitor benchmarking.

Asset & Infrastructure Management:

  1. Ensure optimal maintenance and uptime of handling equipment such as reach stackers, forklifts, trailers, etc.
  2. Oversee infrastructure upkeep including warehouses, yards, security systems, and IT systems.

Business Development & Client Acquisition:

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities including onboarding of new customers and volume diversification (import/export).
  2. Work closely with corporate sales and marketing teams to expand the unit’s customer base.

MIS, Reporting & Reviews:

  1. Review operational KPIs, volume trends, cost indicators, and prepare regular dashboards and reports for senior management.
  2. Take proactive corrective actions based on performance analysis and feedback.

Technology & Digital Initiatives:

  1. Drive digital transformation at the unit level including adoption of EDI integration, and automation tools.
  2. Encourage data-driven decision making and leverage analytics for performance optimization.

New Projects & Initiatives of SBU (LI):

  1. Manage and handle end-to-end new business projects and initiatives, identifying opportunities, doing feasibility studies, project planning and coordination with internal teams & external stakeholders.
  2. Any other task as may be assigned from time-to-time
