Job Description – Engineer / Manager (B&T – Body & Trim) Position: Engineer / Senior Engineer / Manager – B&T (Body & Trim) Department: Quality / Product Engineering Industry: Automotive / Manufacturing Roles & Responsibilities Handle and resolve field concerns related to Body & Trim (B&T) components, ensuring minimal impact on customer experience. Resolve internal concerns related to B&T, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Conduct data analysis to identify recurring issues, trends, and areas for improvement. Perform daily monitoring of field complaints and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions. Drive reduction in field concerns by conducting thorough root cause analysis and ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Prepare and publish Field Concern MIS reports, presentations, and dashboards for higher management review. Carry out joint investigations in the field with stakeholders to determine accurate root causes. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Design teams for closure of both field and internal concerns. Ensure speedy and time-bound closure of high-priority concerns, including immobilization issues, to meet organizational targets. Key Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of Body & Trim (B&T) systems and components. Hands-on experience in problem-solving tools (Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.). Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint, dashboards). Good knowledge of quality systems and automotive standards. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Qualifications & Experience Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering (or equivalent). Experience: 3–8 years of relevant experience in automotive Body & Trim domain (quality, design, or field service). Exposure to field quality management, supplier interactions, and customer concern resolution preferred. Why Join Us?
