Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager - MIS Reporting at Axis Max Life Insurance in the BPMA department, you will lead the reporting function for all distribution functions. You will define the vision and roadmap for the business intelligence team, promote a data culture within Max Life, and drive the transition towards automation and real-time insights. Managing a team of 10+ professionals, including partners, you will coach and mentor them to enhance their skills continuously. Your key responsibilities will include: - Handling distribution reporting requirements across functions and job families to support strategic priorities and performance management. - Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports and dashboards. - Identifying opportunities to automate reporting processes. - Collaborating with the data team to design and build data products for the distribution teams. - Driving a data democratization culture and developing the necessary data infrastructure for efficient analysis and reporting. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Master's degree in a quantitative field. - At least 7-8 years of relevant experience in working with business reporting teams. - Experience in the financial services sector. - Proficiency in Python and PowerBI. - Familiarity with BI tech stack tools like SQL Server Reporting Services and SAP BO. - Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and data lakes. - Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
