About The Role

We are looking for a

strategic, hands-on finance leader

to take full ownership of our companys

finance, accounting, compliance, and audit functions

. This is not a typical finance manager role we are seeking someone who can

act like a CFO and think like a co-founder

.You will work directly with the founder(s) and leadership team, handling everything from

books to boardroom

: closing books, managing audits, ensuring statutory compliance, managing cash flow, making financial forecasts, and enabling data-driven decision-making with advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

End-to-end ownership of all accounting entries, reconciliations, ledgers, and MISEnsure monthly, quarterly, and annual book closuresManage Zoho Books/Tally/ERP as applicable

Audit & Compliance

Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax auditsEnsure 100% compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, ROC, etc.Manage vendor payments, invoices, and reconciliations with full transparency

Strategic Finance & CFO Duties

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projectionsMaintain investor-ready financial models, decks, and dashboardsSet up internal financial controls and SOPsTrack burn rate, working capital, margins, and unit economics

Data Analytics & Decision Support

Build analytical dashboards to track KPIs across departmentsProvide actionable financial insights to support growth, operations, and fundraisingEnable scenario modeling and cost optimization strategies

Team & Leadership

Represent finance at leadership and board discussionsBe a founders ally in planning long-term financial strategyPotential to build and lead a finance team over time

Ideal Candidate

Chartered Accountant with

715 years

of experience in finance, accounting, audit, and complianceStartup or SME background preferred; ability to work

independently and hands-on

Excellent with numbers

, spreadsheets, reports, and data toolsStrong knowledge of

GST, TDS, income tax, company law

, and compliance workflowsWorking experience with tools like

Zoho Books, Tally, Excel, Google Sheets

, and BI toolsExcellent communication and leadership skillsHungry to build, scale, and grow with a fast-moving organization
