Key Responsibilities: 1. Bookkeeping (Cash & Bank Transactions) Maintain accurate and timely records of all cash and bank transactions. Ensure proper reconciliation of bank statements and cash balances. Monitor daily financial activities to support liquidity and operational efficiency. 2. Record Maintenance Organize and update financial records in accordance with statutory and organizational standards. Implement effective systems for tracking invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other financial documents. Safeguard data integrity and ensure easy retrieval for audits and reporting. 3. Accounts Finalization Lead the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams to close books accurately and on time. 4. Funding Agency Reporting Prepare and submit financial reports as per donor or funding agency requirements. Maintain transparency and accountability in fund utilization and grant management. Liaise with program teams to align financial reporting with project deliverables. 5. Internal Financial Reporting Generate periodic financial reports for senior management and board review. Provide insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Monitor budget performance and flag variances for corrective action. 6. File and Documentation Management Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial transactions, contracts, and compliance records. Ensure secure storage and systematic filing for audit readiness and regulatory review. Digitize and archive records to support efficient workflow and data protection. 7. Audit Support and Coordination Provide handholding support to internal and external auditors during financial audits. Facilitate access to required documents, explanations, and reconciliations. Implement audit recommendations to strengthen financial controls and compliance. 8. Taxation and Statutory Compliance (TDS, GST, etc.) Oversee timely calculation, deduction, and deposit of applicable taxes including TDS and GST. Ensure accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with regulatory deadlines. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and advises management on implications.
