Mission of the Role: Mechanical Engineer involved in new product design & development, Sustaining activities and technical support for new business wins

Key Objectives of this Role:

  • Mechanical design and development of cockpit electronics, Electrification products for the automotive industry.
  • Mechanical support of the products and productions - release, changes, etc.
  • Building and/or updating CAD models and drawings of the parts and products, ensuring alignment with Technical Ladder community
  • Utilize fundamental CAE simulation tools to perform structural and thermal analyses in CATIA, validating designs and optimizing performance to meet stringent automotive industry standards.
  • Lead technical design reviews, key participation in DFMEA sessions.
  • Project management and process compliance activities.
  • Communication and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Respect Visteon development process with no NC during internal Mechanical audits
  • Achieve Mechanical milestones defined by program team.

Key Year One Deliverables

:
  • Take independent design responsibility of one forward program meeting delivery schedule without any slippage.
  • Design shall meet the respective guidelines defined in the Visteon process

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of mechanical engineering or related
  • 8~10 years of industry experience in relevant products
  • 3D models design – GSD (Generative surface design – Class A,) parts and assemblies (CAD Tool – CATIA V5, NX)
  • 2D drawings preparation (CAD Tool – CATIA V5, NX)
  • Tolerance stack-up
  • GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Feasibility studies.
  • DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
  • Experience in Plastic, Sheet metal, die casting component design.
  • Experience in DFM and DFA requirements.
  • ME Project management activities, Experience in JIRA is an added advantage.
