An experienced Transport Planner/Modeller is required to join our established Highways & Drainage team which serves the UK private development and public sector markets. The UK Development transport team offers clients a wide range of multi-disciplinary services including transport modelling of local junctions and signalised networks (VISSIM, Paramics, TRANSYT, LINSIG, JUNCTIONS 8), pedestrians (LEGION, VISWALK) and regional / strategic transport systems (VISUM, SATURN). The wider team also undertakes development planning work involving site appraisals, transport assessments, master planning, public transport studies and public consultation. Offices to work face to face with the project teams as required. You will have knowledge of preliminary highway design, junction design and analysis, traffic software including ( TRICS, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, TRANSYT and micro-simulation (VISSIM, Paramics) as well a good understanding of fundamental modelling techniques, traffic management techniques and Transport for London, Highways England and Local Authority design and modelling guidance so as to enable you work effectively as part of the team. You will also be able to be a proficient user of AutoCAD for the production of preliminary junction design drawings and for the production of figures to be included in reports and planning applications. Having a working knowledge of Auto Track would also be an advantage. You will need to have good written and spoken communication skills, (English).
