The successful candidate will work closely with the in-house and client-side teams from one of our esteemed clients based in the UK. Our client is a global leader in gym and personal training (PT) management, offering extraordinary service and cutting-edge, proprietary client-led technology.The primary responsibility of this role is to support and scale development, deployment, and infrastructure operations for top-notch travel tech products. Responsibilities
You will be in a very hands-on engineering role as a Senior DevOps Engineer in an expert product development team. You’ll work closely with software developers, QA, and architects to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. Your contributions will directly impact the speed, reliability, and quality of our product delivery. This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, cloud-native systems, and building developer-friendly DevOps solutions in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure infrastructure primarily on AWS.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Manage and operate Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, including configuration, upgrades, and monitoring.
- Implement Serverless solutions (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway) and integrate them into infrastructure workflows.
- Use AWS CDK to define and deploy cloud resources with infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Set up observability stacks and work with monitoring tools such as Honeycomb, CloudWatch, etc., to ensure system health and performance.
- Manage and enforce security best practices with AWS IAM, including roles, policies, and access controls.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system resilience.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and automate operational tasks.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed clusters).
- In-depth knowledge of AWS IAM, policies, roles, and permissions.
- Experience with Git and modern GitHub actions.
- Proven experience with Serverless computing in AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).
- Proven hands on experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
- KUMA for Kubernetes monitoring Exposure to monitoring/logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
