The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll be the Lead Engineer of our AWS infrastructure, architecting systems for 10x growth while keeping costs lean and performance exceptional. This is a high-ownership position where you'll build IaC, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and collaborating with engineers shipping AI-powered features at speed. We're in-office in Koramangala to enable seamless teamwork and quick decisionsnon-negotiable for our culture.

What You'll Do

- Own the full infrastructure lifecycle, from architecture to production deployments for 10x user scale.

- Build Infrastructure-as-Code with AWS CDK and Terraform, making it accessible for team contributions.

- Design CI/CD pipelines for reliable, boring deployments and robust monitoring to catch issues early.

- Master core AWS services (EC2, RDS, Fargate, Lambda) and quickly adopt new ones as needed.

- Implement security best practices like least-privilege and zero-trust by default.

- Automate scripting in Python, Bash, or TypeScript to streamline operations.

- Document systems thoroughly to mitigate bus factor in a solo role.

- Collaborate on decisions impacting user experience in our consumer-facing product.

- Leverage AI tools daily as force multipliers for efficiency and innovation.

What You Bring (Non-Negotiables)

- 5-10 years of DevOps experience, with at least 5 years deep in AWS scaling SaaS platforms from thousands to hundreds of thousands of users.

- Expertise in IaC with CDK/Terraform, container orchestration (Docker, ECS, Fargate), and core AWS services.

- Proven track record in product companies building infrastructure for public-facing apps with unpredictable traffic (not internal or enterprise tools).

- Scripting fluency in Python, Bash, or TypeScript; security-first mindset.

- Strong communication to explain complex infrastructure to non-specialists.

- Currently based in Bangalore with a short and reasonable commute to Koramangalaready to start within 30 days (no relocations).
