Job Summary

About You:

Key Responsibilities

SQL Server (On-Prem and Azure):

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (2016 and above).
• Set up and manage Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, and Replication.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, backup/restore, and security configuration.
• Monitor performance and tune queries, indexes, and server configurations.
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure SQL Databases and Managed Instances.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  

Azure Database Services

• Administer Azure SQL, Azure PostgreSQL, and Azure MySQL.
• Setup Azure Cosmos DB for transactional or NoSQL workloads.
• Design and implement database security, role-based access, and firewall rules in Azure.
• Monitor resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Query Insights.
  

MySQL & PostgreSQL

• Install, configure, and maintain MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Perform performance tuning, replication setup, and backup strategies.
• Apply schema changes, manage user roles, and resolve database-level issues.
  

Other Responsibilities

• Document database architecture, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps for CI/CD of database code.
• Ensure database compliance with security and audit requirements.
  

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in SQL Server Administration (on-prem & Azure).
• Hands-on experience with Always On, AG Listener, Load Balancer config, and clustering.
• Good understanding of Azure Database Services (PaaS, IaaS).
• Working knowledge of Cosmos DB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL administration.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  

What You ‘ll Do

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Fabric, and Azure SQL.
• Good command of SQL, Spark, Python, PySpark, and Data Lake/Delta Lake architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD) practices and Git integration for data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Power BI, REST APIs, and Azure monitoring tools is a plus.
