Senior Accountant – Finance & Accounts

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, with a strong emphasis on indirect taxation (GST compliance), MIS reporting, client invoicing, and receivables/payables management . Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry . Key Responsibilities Taxation & Compliance Timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) Reconciliation of GST returns with books of accounts and vendor/client statements Ensure all documentation is maintained for tax audits and statutory assessments Ensure compliance with all applicable indirect tax laws and regulations Financial Reporting & Analysis Preparation and maintenance of comprehensive MIS reports for senior management Conduct financial analysis to generate business insights and support strategic decisions Preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements, reconciliations, and audit schedules. Accounts Receivable & Payable Management Handle invoice generation and submission to clients as per billing cycles Track and manage the receipt of payments from clients, and send timely follow-ups Expedite collections to ensure timely cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables Maintain and update a daily list of debtors and creditors, ensuring real-time accuracy Resolve invoice discrepancies and address client/vendor queries professionally. General Accounting Operations Oversee day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and bank reconciliations Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and relevant statutory authorities Ensure accurate data entry and reporting through Tally and ERP systems. Candidate Requirements Educational Qualification Semi-Qualified CA or B.Com (in regular mode) from a recognized university (mandatory) Experience Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Oil & Gas industry Technical Skills Proficient in ERP systems and Tally Bonus) Advanced Excel skills – including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data consolidation, and analysis tools Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities High level of attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Show more Show less
