Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:    ∙ Overseeing Financial Accounting:  Overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable,  general ledger, and financial reporting.   ∙ Accounting Operations:  Managing month-end and year-end closing processes, reviewing journal entries, and  ensuring compliance with accounting standards.   ∙ Financial Reporting:   Preparing and publishing timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance  analyses.      ∙ Compliance:   Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements  and tax filings.   ∙ Team Leadership:  Managing and mentoring the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and  performance feedback.   ∙ Internal Controls:   Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and  compliance.   ∙ Financial Analysis:  Providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support  strategic decision-making.   ∙ Audits:  Coordinating and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities.   ∙ Budgeting and Forecasting:   Developing and monitoring the annual budget and financial forecasts, working with  various departments to gather necessary information.  ∙ Tax Compliance:   Preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax  regulations.(GST,TDS/TCS)   Skills and Qualifications:   Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP, IFRS).   ∙ Financial Analysis:   Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations.   ∙ Team Leadership:   Ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team of accounting professionals.   ∙ Communication Skills:   Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with various  stakeholders.   ∙ Software Proficiency:   Experience with accounting software (e.g.ERP systems, Tally Prime and Microsoft  Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)).   ∙ Manufacturing Industry Knowledge:   Understanding of the unique financial and accounting challenges faced by manufacturing  companies.   ∙ Problem-Solving Skills:   Ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.   ∙ Process Improvement:   Recommend and implement system and process improvements to increase financial  reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.   ∙ Creditor’s Payments & Cash Flow Management:  Monitor and ensure timely payments to creditors, maintain cash flows to meet monthly  expenses and statutory dues efficiently.   ∙ Bank Compliance Management:  Manage and fulfill all necessary banking-related compliance requirements and coordinate  with financial institutions as needed.
