Senior Account Manager

Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Accounts Manager to handle the complete accounting operations for a US based logistics company. The person should have strong hands on experience in QuickBooks and must be able to manage all aspects of finance and accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and monthly financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting activities including posting vendor invoices, customer billing, and expense entries in QuickBooks
• Handle end to end Accounts Payable including vendor management, invoice processing, payments through ACH or wire, and maintaining AP aging
• Manage Accounts Receivable including customer invoicing, collections follow up, and cash application
• Prepare and review monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations for multiple accounts
• Post journal entries and ensure proper classification in the general ledger
• Review expense reports, employee reimbursements, and ensure correct accounting under respective GL codes
• Manage revenue recognition and expense amortization as per contract or service period
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
• Maintain vendor and customer master data with accuracy
• Ensure timely month end and year end closing with all reconciliations completed
• Coordinate with the US team for audit schedules and provide all required supporting documents
• Handle payroll processing for US employees including adjustments, tax deductions, and compliance reporting
• Support 1099 filings for vendors and ensure adherence to applicable accounting and tax standards
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within QuickBooks and related tools
• Monitor accounts for discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner

Requirements:

• 8 to 15 years of accounting experience with at least 4 years working on US based accounts
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and understanding of US GAAP
• Experience in managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, and statutory compliance for US entities
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with international teams
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA Finance, MCom, or CA Inter
• Prior experience in logistics or service industry
• Exposure to tools like NetSuite, Xero, or Ramp
