About The Role

We are searching for a highly motivated and talented Software Development Engineer 2 (SDE 2) to join our team in Gurugram. This crucial role will contribute directly to the expansion of our core product line. As an SDE 2, you will be deeply involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation through to rigorous testing and deployment. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions that impact millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new features and functionalities for Zomato`s flagship product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) to define product requirements and technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and design patterns.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback from peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring high system stability and performance.
• Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and infrastructure.
• Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in software development.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master`s degree is preferred.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in software development.
  

Skills Required

• Proficiency in Java or Python
• Experience with SQL and database design
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• Experience with Git for version control
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience with testing frameworks
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture is a plus
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
