SAP FICO Implementation & Support

Location :Hyderabad onsite

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SAP FICO expert to lead and support the Finance function within our SAP Center of Excellence. The role requires a seasoned finance professional with hands-on expertise in SAP FICO module and a deep understanding of the Record-to-Report (R2R) process. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Finance & Accounts operations, and experience in leading or participating in full-cycle SAP implementations involving FICO integration with MM, SD and PS modules. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring cross-functional process alignment, supporting business continuity, and delivering value through SAP-driven process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP FICO Implementation and Support

• Provide expert-level support and leadership in SAP FICO module, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Banking.
• Drive and participate in end-to-end SAP implementation project, especially those involving R2R and integration with MM, SD & PS modules.
• Manage post-implementation support and issue resolution, including configuration changes, enhancements, and upgrades.
• Ensure SAP configuration aligns with business requirements and accounting standards.
• Act as a Business Analyst to gather, analyze, and document finance and accounting business requirements.
• Lead or contribute significantly to SAP testing, training, and documentation.
• Provide post-implementation support and continuously identify areas of improvement within financial systems and processes.

Finance & Accounting Domain Leadership

• Oversee and ensure accuracy in core financial operations, including:
• Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Fixed Asset Accounting
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• GST Compliance & Taxation
• Month-End / Year-End Closures
• Cash Flow & Treasury Functions
• Collaborate with internal finance teams to streamline processes and implement best practices using SAP tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Sales, Billing & Collections and Project teams to ensure seamless end-to-end business process integration across SAP modules.
• Support Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Design-to-Operate (D2O) cycles by aligning them with financial reporting and control requirements.
• Act as the functional liaison between business users and the IT/SAP development team to ensure accurate requirement gathering and solution delivery.

Project Leadership & Change Management

• Lead and manage SAP finance-related projects, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support change management and user adoption strategies, including training, documentation, and hyper-care post go-live.
• Engage with senior business stakeholders and drive consensus on key SAP finance process designs and improvements.

Compliance, Controls & Audit Support

• Ensure SAP system supports statutory compliance including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Internal and External Auditors to ensure SAP supports required controls, documentation, and audit trails.
• Implement and monitor internal controls and security roles within the SAP module.

Educational Qualification:

• CA / CMA / CA(Inter) / CMA(Inter) / MBA Finance or equivalent degree.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO.
• Proven experience in at least one end-to-end SAP FICO implementation project, preferably as a lead, with exposure to integration with MM, SD and PS.
• In-depth understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and financial close cycles.
• Experience working with cross-functional SAP modules and understanding of their impact on financial transactions.
• Strong understanding of India-specific financial regulations, taxation (including GST), and compliance reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certification in FICO is highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is a strong advantage.
• Experience in global process design, shared services, or centralized finance teams is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and timelines in a complex business environment.
