About the Role This role is specific to the CtrlS Mumbai data center project and other edge projects. The role of the EHS AVP is to ultimately ensure everyone and anyone who comes to work can go home in the same way they arrived. The role will take full responsibility for maintaining outstanding EHS standards across the new build project and edge projects. The role holds accountability for the roll out of the safety program, playing a hands-on role onsite in ensuring adherence to key policies and proactively identifying risks and opportunities for improvement in line with CtrlS vision for delivering excellence in Safety. Responsibilities To position, promote and protect the CtrlS brand in relation to Health, Safety & Wellbeing, enabling the full roll out the Safety program and reporting on compliance in all respects. Directly reporting to Project EHS Head. Monitor safety efforts of contractors and site people. Conduct/coordinate Project Safety "Tool Box" Meetings with all contractors on a weekly basis. Discuss safety with the on-site Subcontractors Supervisory Personnel. Coordinate with Project Supervision so that necessary personal protective equipment and safety materials are utilized. Record and forward copies of all safety related meetings, programs, safety pre-plans, inspections, correspondence, directives, citations, etc to the relevant management team. Conduct documented Project Safety and Health Inspections not less than twice each month. Investigate all injuries and review all accident reports, coordinating corrective measures with contractors or Subcontractor Personnel. Lead the indoctrination of new employees, contractors and Subcontractor Personnel into the Safety program and culture. Post and keep current all required safety documents and literature. Monitor protection of general public by minimizing construction hazards. Monitor maintenance of adequate first aid supplies on the Project. Enforce CtrlS safety policies using the company&aposs disciplinary policy. Lead and live CtrlS injury-free environment culture. Conduct subcontractor project onboarding (pre-construction meetings, review site-specific safety plan and job hazard analysis (JHA), review training requirements, orientation). Coach project team members on safety leadership & management practices. Collect and review pre-task plans, provide feedback for improvement. Conduct daily documented safety inspections/audits. Assist/conduct safety orientations for all on-site employees. Conduct weekly mass safety meetings. Conduct incident investigations as needed. Maintain safety documentation. Identify safety training needs and provide safety training as appropriate. Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials. Qualifications 18 + years of experience as the lead EHS Manager/SME on major complex construction projects/renewable energy projects. BE/BTech/Diploma in any stream + DIS/ADIS + NEBOSH (added advantage). Significant experience focused on mission critical building projects where electrical safety is paramount. Proven track record in process safety expertise, technical fundamentals of safety managements, risk assessment and risk reduction across construction and technical operations. Expert knowledge of the local market in Mumbai and regulatory landscape. Forward thinking with the ability to identify potential risks and associated mitigations. We are looking for a skilled MEP Project Manager to oversee the delivery of MEP systems during the construction and commissioning phases of mission-critical data centre projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing all MEP aspects on-site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, timelines, quality standards, and health and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Lead on-site MEP execution for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV systems in large-scale data centre projects. Coordinate with design teams, consultants, contractors, OEMs, and vendors to ensure alignment of installation with approved drawings and technical specifications. Supervise and control the installation of systems such as HVAC, UPS, DG sets, chillers, BMS, fire suppression, and structured cabling.
