Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and research potential clients such as OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction Contractors) contractors, distributors, and industrial units.
  • Generate new business through cold calls, plant visits, networking, trade fairs, and referrals.
  • Expand sales reach in new geographical regions and industrial sectors.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients across power, electronics, and manufacturing industries.
  • Understand the client’s technical specifications and recommend suitable transformer solutions.
  • Provide timely after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

3. Sales Operations & Deal Closure

  • Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and demonstrations.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals, and negotiate contracts for profitable sales closure.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery.

4. Market Analysis & Strategy

  • Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, and market trends in the transformer industry.
  • Provide feedback to management on product improvements and customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for diversification in electronics/electrical product lines.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, client meetings, and sales pipeline.
  • Submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports to management.
  • Track client payments and ensure on-time collections.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Achievement of monthly/quarterly/annual transformer sales targets.
  2. Number of new client acquisitions (OEMs/industries).
  3. Lead conversion rate.
  4. Customer retention and repeat orders.
  5. Timely collection of client payments.
  6. Growth in transformer product portfolio sales.
  7. Customer satisfaction and service ratings.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of

    electronics transformers, power electronics, or industrial electrical equipment

    .
  • Ability to explain technical product specifications to clients in simple terms.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Self-driven, result-orientated, and capable of working independently.
  • Analytical mindset for sales forecasting and market analysis.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for client visits and business development.
