Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Team Lead to build, lead, and scale our sales function from the ground up. This is a high-impact, on-site role in Mohali, designed for someone who thrives in fast-growing environments and has a proven track record in developing sales structures and driving results in the ed-tech sector.

As the Sales Team Lead, you will first manage our existing network of 40–50 active agents, ensuring a consistent flow of quality applications and continuously improving the process. You will work closely with the CEO and Business Manager to design robust sales strategies to expand our reach across India.

As the business grows, you will play a key role in building and expanding the sales team, onboarding new team members strategically as needed, and leading them to achieve targets for each country and university. You will coordinate closely with the Admissions Team Lead and Service Delivery Manager to ensure a smooth conversion pipeline for every application processed.

Key Responsibilities:

Build & Structure the Sales Function:

  • Develop and implement a clear sales team structure from scratch, aligning it with the company’s growth plans.
  • Strategically manage the existing network of 40–50 active agents to maintain and improve the application pipeline.
  • Design and refine sales processes, policies, and standard operating procedures in collaboration with the CEO and Business Manager.

Sales Strategy & Expansion:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand business operations and agent networks across India.
  • Identify new opportunities, partnerships, and markets to drive growth.
  • Set clear sales targets per country and per university and lead the team to achieve them.

Team Development & Leadership:

  • Gradually build and grow a high-performing sales team by onboarding additional Business Development Managers as required.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve individual and collective goals.
  • Conduct training sessions on sales strategies, product knowledge, onboarding processes, and CRM best practices.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Monitor daily performance of agents and team members, ensuring that onboarding, activation, and application flow targets are met.
  • Review team reports regularly and provide actionable feedback to drive improvements.
  • Share insights and updates with the CEO and management team on a regular basis.

Cross-Department Coordination:

  • Collaborate proactively with the Admissions Team Lead and Service Delivery Manager to ensure every application gets the best chance of conversion.
  • Facilitate smooth communication between sales, admissions, and service delivery teams for end-to-end alignment.

Market Engagement:

  • Oversee and guide agent engagement on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook) to promote Daltin AI Portal and generate new leads.
  • Engage with prospective partners and agents to strengthen Daltin’s presence and reputation in the market.
  • PAN India travel required

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in business development or sales, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role managing teams of 10+ members. Proven experience in setting up or scaling a sales team is a strong advantage. Ed-tech industry experience is mandatory.
  • Education: A graduate degree is required; a postgraduate degree is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills (English and Hindi).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and sales reporting tools.
  • Highly motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Well-presented, professional demeanour, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
